From his start at a Nottingham restaurant in 1982 through to today Phil continues to be captivated by wine’s endless complexity. His has been a truly varied career which has given Phil a unique and deep understanding of the world that is wine. \nThis accumulation of experience helped Phil achieve his long-held ambition to pass the Master of Wine examinations. In 1996 Phil became the 218th person to achieve what is widely recognised as the wine industry’s peak professional accreditation. To date only 496 people have achieved this distinguished accolade.
